SUMMARY:La musique des variétés hyperboliques arithmétiques
DESCRIPTION:Je commencerai par rappeler un vieux problème\, dit des boeufs et attribué à Archimède. Sa résolution\, essentiellement équivalente à celle de l’équation de Pell-Fermat\, conduit naturellement à la construction de certaines variétés (hyperboliques réelles) associées à des formes quadratiques. Après une brève introduction à la géométrie hyperbolique\, j’expliquerai en quoi ces variétés ont une musique particulière en détaillant en particulier un problème ouvert important : la conjecture de Selberg.
