Validation of third year

Obtaining the third year of the ENS Diploma requires:

• obtaining the second year of the Master of Mathematics (M2),
• the composition of the Diploma thesis.

This dissertation is made up of a curriculum vitae, all the written work done during the schooling, and a new text, between 10 and 20 pages, called “Presentation of the research field”, presenting in a motivated way the research field in which the future project will be placed (thesis or professional insertion). This work is presented during an oral defense, which is mandatory for the validation of the ENS diploma with a mathematics major.

•  Validation of M2 courses (optional)
  •  Fibrés de Higgs et représentations de groupes de surfaces
  • Numerical methods for fluid dynamics
  • Opérateurs aléatoires
  • Analyse des EDP non linéaires issues de la géométrie
  • Systèmes à diffusion croisée
• A long internship outside Paris, abroad or in industry (optional).

Remark : an experience abroad during the training is required for the validation of the ENS Diploma.
