During the first year at ENS, students are enrolled in the third year of the license (L3). They also take courses for the first year of the Master’s program (M1), which will be validated in the second year with the administrative registration in M1. The program also includes courses in computer science, physics, economics and biology. The validation of the first year requires the writing of a thesis, called first year thesis, in the second semester.
